Shannen Doherty could be returning to 90210, her rep confirms to Usmagazine.com exclusively.

“Yes, Shannen is in discussions with the CW to be on the new Beverly Hills 90210,” her rep tells Us.

Entertainment Weekly first reported that the controversial star, 37, met with producers to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh on the spin-off.

Nothing has been finalized yet, a source tells Us.

In addition to wanting more money, “she wants to know what the story is going to be,” according to EW.

Nearly 300,000 people voted to bring Doherty back in a recent Usmagazine.com poll.

Doherty’s casting could raise some eyebrows considering that she clashed with original 90210 co-stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, who have both signed on to return.

In her 2007 memoir So NoTORIous, Spelling wrote of Doherty and Garth: “Sometimes they got along, but there were explosions. Once they got into a fistfight.”

Garth now tells EW, “A lot of time has passed, and I’m a big girl. I’d have no problem with her coming on the show.”

The CW’s spin-off debuts this fall.-us weekly
